Dear Bull City Hoops Community: 

First off, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for all of your support and interest in this site and what we have to offer. We could not be more pleased with the reception we have be given since our launch in mid-September. More importantly, we would not be here today without you all! 

So thank you for allowing us to continue providing you with coverage of the Duke basketball program.

We are writing to you today to inform you of our next step at Bull City Hoops. In order to continue bringing you team and recruiting coverage at the highest possible level, we will be offering a paid subscription service on Thursday, Dec. 9. 

What’s actually changing?

You will get the same level of analysis and reporting as many of you have grown to expect over the years from Clint and Brian. Offering a paid subscription model will allow for improved coverage: affording the opportunity to travel for recruiting events, open gyms, tournaments, and more, while also permitting consistent team coverage throughout the year. We will continue to be a basketball-only site.

What do you get if you pay and don’t pay?

Paying subscribers will receive greater access to expert analysis, recruiting intel and insight, exclusive interviews with recruits, high school and AAU coaches, members of the Duke basketball team and staff, the opportunity to connect with Bull City Hoops staff members through our popular “Interact” features, and much, much more. 

Offering a subscription based service, however, does not mean there will no longer be free content. Game coverage, recruiting mailbags, occasional feature stories, among others will be available as free content items. 

When is it changing?

We will be offering this new paid subscription service on Thursday, Dec. 9. We will send out an additional announcement reminding you of the change and our holiday subscription specials.

How much will it cost?

You will have two options as paid subscribers. You can subscribe monthly at $7, or sign-up for an annual subscription at $70 ($5.83/mo), almost 30% less than the regular subscription costs for network sites. 

We will be offering holiday specials beginning Thursday, so stay tuned for those deals. We will announce those here on the site and on our Twitter accounts (@BrianMcLawhorn & @clintjackson1).
